I digged the whole city and could not find any store that sells the wireless sensor bar. Angry I decide to order one from a far away store. The one I'm considering is the Duracell wireless sensor bar:

Duracell is a good brand. But I still need some opinions and reviews however. Has anyone here used it? Is it good? Huh I really concern 'bout the battery life. If you guys know any good sensor bar with long battery life, please let me know.

I do not want to waste $20 plus $10 shipping fee from 2000 km away for a bad product. Sad

I don't know where you live, but several people suggest this particular bar (that is the official nintendo one):

if you live in the uk:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Licensed-Ultimate-Wireless-Sensor/dp/B002E1MLR8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340820807&sr=8-1

for american customers:

http://www.amazon.com/Official-Nintendo-Wii-Wireless-Sensor-Extended/dp/B002E1MLR8/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1340820812&sr=8-5&keywords=power+a+wireless+wii

Battery life is around 6 gameplay hrs I read, but the bar can be easily modded with an old usb cable:

Hope it helps!

If you go to the effort of modding one, then getting a cheap wired one from Amazon and swapping the resistors for weaker ones is almost as easy, and costs a fraction of the price.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional

There is so few people around playing the Wii, and almost no one using Dolphin. That's why nearby store does not sell the wireless sensor bar. The only thing I can found is the official Nintendo wired sensor bar.

I have read the link: http://www.hunterdavis.com/2011/05/04/no-solder-no-tools-no-trouble-usb-wii-sensor-bar-conversion/ Have you tried it an succeeded? And is there any side-effect due to the lower voltage? If modding the wireless sensor bar is so easy as stated in the article, guess I'll get an official wired one to save some battery. A pair of 2700 mAh Energizer/Duracell rechargable batteries cost $22 here, so 2 pairs ($44) exceed the cost of the sensor bar. Sad

Edit: The article only apply to the newly design sensor bar, which has 6 LEDs, not the old one with 10 LEDs. IDK what version is available in my city. Is there any way to tell without opening it?

Read the comments, specifically this one. http://www.hunterdavis.com/2011/05/04/no-solder-no-tools-no-trouble-usb-wii-sensor-bar-conversion/#comment-2293

You'd have to replace the resistor to get the sensor back back to full strength.

Eh. Wireless sensor bars used to be in stores just a few months ago; a friend of mine got the last one at a local best buy in April. You are just a little too late.

I got an official wired sensor bar for $20. Now is the time for risking. FYI, I do software, not hardware. I don't even know what a resistor is. My physics and electric theory knowledge is zero. All I can do now is trying to cut the wires and twist them together. If my effort fails, I'll ask for help from my uncle. His job is selling and repairing PC hardware. He has some experience and enough equipments for that kind of thing.

Anyway, thanks for you guys' suggestions. Wish me good luck. Angel
