If someone knew how, they'd probably have posted it somewhere that Google can access. That said, it might be the case that it's a more widely-known format but with a weird extension. If you're serious about reverse engineering this stuff yourself, then you might want to look at the first part of the files in a hex editor and compare them with those of other games that people have made more progress with.
