personally,
the reviewers have a few problems and this is why they suck in reviewing DNF:
1) it took 12 years so they expected something that would blow their ears and eyes to hell. thats bullshit
2) they expected completely new ideas. how is beyond me cause part of the 12 years of dev is cause they needed to restart 3/4 times and they kept their ideas but renamed them a bit(example of this is that in an old trailer when they used the half life engine, you can see the desert highway part done on a car, instead of an airplane like it is now). also , 3x3years(average time to dev a good game)...ye,you get my point
3) people who review now are kinda like this
the crap games they like, and then this they find crap?
imo duke nukem forever is the same as Duke3D but slightly different gameplay (A to B, no investigation) and updated graphics, and thats a GOOD thing cause sequels often rape series completely.
