Dual Monitor with one Video Card

I have an ATI Radeon HD 6870 with my HDTV as my secondary display. Unless I set it as my primary display (which is annoying in other programs, like creating a shortcut to the desktop, and also logging in to windows with the TV turned off), I cannot play anything in full screen mode onto my TV.
In the adapter settings, there is only one option since I only have one video card, so the highest resolution offered is the resolution for my primary display, which is my monitor at the moment. It would be nice to be able to pick which display to play full screen mode without setting the TV as a primary display, or buying a second video card.

Does anyone have an idea on how to achieve this? I've read other outdated threads about it but it doesn't seem to have been worked on since then.

Thanks

I've got the same problem but with 2 videocards. Selecting a specific videocard has no effect on fullscreen mode always rendering on the primary monitor.

It seems that this problem occurs since build r4898

I've read many threads where people have managed to get it working with two adapters, but not one.

Thanks. I've searched the forum and found this thread:

Works for me and I have the second monitor (TV) connected to a second graphic card.

Tried it and it works.
The important thing to do is that you maximize the window before pressing ALT+ENTER.
Don't know if it works with one videoadapter though.

Thanks a lot! I didn't even notice that part. I'll give it a try when I get home tonight

EDIT: Just to confirm, that method does work! Thanks
