i'm new to using Dolphin and while looking around the forums to find a solution to my problem, i see a lot of unfamiliar terms. be sure to explain any solutions to this problem in detail so it's easier for me to understand. if this problem has already been solved, please direct me to a thread i can read. the subject of the thread may also not be the right wording, but it's the best i got
what's happening is that i'm trying to do a playthrough, specifically of Luigi's Mansion. since it's my first time using Dolphin as an emulator, i thought "Start Recording Input" was to record a session of a game from the emulator which could then be exported into a file such as MP4 or AVI, etc to be edited later. i now understand this is not the case. what i had decided to do was play the input recording back and, as it plays, record that via a screen recording program.
watching the input playback, i had noticed that the gameplay looked different than how i remembered playing the game a few days earlier (since i'd taken a break and am just now going back to it). Luigi had been in the foyer, the first room, walking around into walls and doing random actions, as if he were on the next floor or in a different room.
to my understanding, the playback might not have picked up the right amount of footsteps in a certain direction, making Luigi miss opening the door, making the input itself believe that it's in a different part of the mansion when it's just in the first front room. [color=#000000]is there a way to fix the .DTM file so that when it's played back it will play how i remember playing the game?
