Hello hello! I'll be brief with my problem and sorry if this has been asked before, I've been reading and looking for a solution but I don't get what I want to :/ anyways:

I'm having sound issues playing Resident Evil 4 wii (tons of noise) (Dolphin 3.5 x64), I read a tutorial about using DSP LLE and decided to dump my dsp_rom.bin file. I dumped them, I've put them in the .\Sys\GC folder (as seen in a tutorial) and in the .\User\GC folder (as you specify), and when I try running the game, it still says there is no dsp_rom.bin file... I know it's there! I've even copied the files in other folders with no luck.

Am I doing anything wrong? I dumped the files, copied to the specified folders, do I need to enable anything else besides that? Thanks for your time reading this guys!

I don't think the dsp_rom files are the same for the Wii and Game Cube. And I think dsp_coef.bin has to be there, too.

I know your profile says windows but to be clear you are not running Linux by any chance? I had a similar problem on Ubuntu. You could also use a newer revision after the new ax hle merge and see if it is better.

I stand corrected. Well, lay corrected, at the moment. But dsp_coef.bin has to be there as well, doesn't it?

Yes, they are the same... I dumped them from my wii lol. When I used DSPSpy, 3 files were generated: ds_coef.bin, dsp_dump0.bin and dsp_rom.bin and I copied the three of them into the specified folder .\User\GC (I just checked for the twentieth time in the day). It just gives me the same error: dsp_rom.bin is missing >_<

[EDIT]
@Xalphenos: Yes, my problems are generated in Win7 x64, but I dual boot Win7 & Linux Mint 14 Cinammon... don't know if it makes any difference haha Tongue BTW, do I just fresh install a newer revision or do I need to update or something?

The only thing I can think of is that the files are corrupted.

Damn, I was avoiding re-dumping the files (I need to set up the wii again in the TV, use my sis' laptop 'cause mine has problems reading SD cards, meh...), guess I'll give it a try tomorrow morning.

I'm dual booting 8 pro and Ubuntu 12.04. My problem was that I copied over the dsp files from my windows partition to where they were supposed to go on my linux partition. I've usually not had problems doing similar things but once copied over dolphin still insisted the files weren't there. I rebooted recopied several times with the same result. Finally I booted into windows copied them over to an old fat16 pen drive then rebooted into linux and wrote over the old files and bam it worked.

The new builds are just zipped so just extract it and you should be good to go. Just use the correct download site, link at the top of the page.

Current dev builds now have perfect audio under HLE for pretty much every GameCube/Wii game that wasn't made directly by Nintendo's internal dev teams. Go try one: http://dolphin-emu.org/download/
