Is there any way for driver updates to normally detect openGL. This seems to be the problems for users who have updated their android phones to nougat. Drivrrs don't seem to be detecting openGL which is causing these graphical glitches.

Older drivers = lacking in extensions, so broken it actually looks more correct.
Newer drivers = supports newer features, but broken so the image is warped. Basically the older drivers look better because they skip a lot of features, which in simple games means a more accurate image, but in more complex games would result in totally broken visuals. It is not related to some kind of incorrect OpenGL detection. If that were the case you’d be unable to do anything. If you are seeing “OpenGL not supported” then your device does not meet the minimum OpenGL ES requirements, which cannot be fixed. 10-18-2017, 07:51 AM

Previous versions only supported OpenGL ES 3.1 on much older drivers. Also, i’m not really sure what your problem is. Bad drivers aren’t related to dolphin, and if older software works, then you only have one clear option. |
