Hi there!
For some strange reason, builds after 3.0 (well, at least the last few builds available on the Dolphin downloads page) result in a significant loss of performance using all settings and in all games. In general, sound works a little better but I lose anywhere from 10-20 FPS and 20 or 30% speed. In 3.0, Super Smash Bros Brawl runs at full speed with good settings (and then some, actually) but in newer builds using the same settings, it doesn't run as well. This goes for other games I've tried as well (Sonic Colors, F-Zero GX, Super Smash Bros Melee, and Super Mario Galaxy 2). In 3.0, all of the above games (with the exception of F-Zero GX) run at near full-speed with Accurate Vbeam emulation checked.
My system specs aren't amazing or anything, but I have a pretty good mid-range laptop:
i5 2.67 ghz with HT
4gb DDR3 ram
ATI Radeon Mobility HD 6550M 1GB
Windows 7 Home Premium
I didn't submit this as a bug report because I can't find anyone else reporting this "problem," so I believe it is probably something I am doing wrong, or my computer just isn't fast enough to run later builds. Can anyone provide any insight?
