Dragging and Dropping files into game filesystems?

Just some random question, of which I have no idea how to figure out...
How are you able to put custom files into, for example, Super Smash Bros. Brawl? The drop cursor appears when dragging a custom version of a music file in SSBB, but I then notice that Dolphin Emulator didn't do anything with the file!

I was just super excited to put custom music into Brawl, but it didn't really work!

If there is a way of Dragging and Dropping custom files into a game's filesystem, please tell me!
If not, could it be a feature in the future?

You can't do that. You need to download a tool that lets you edit the contents of ISOs, like Wiiscrubber. Usually for this you would use Gecko OS and a virtual SD card, but if it's just music, then it's very easy to just replace the file in the ISO using Wiiscrubber. Dragging and dropping files to edit an ISO will likely never be a Dolphin feature (though you can sort of run games through an extracted filesystem rather than a disc, although I think that feature is still buggy) since it's an emulator, not an ISO editor. There are already tools available to do this, so there's no sense in adding the functionality to Dolphin. Maybe the devs think differently, but I imagine that's what the attitude is for a feature like this.

Just a tip if you're replacing stuff in Brawl--there are two files in Brawl's root directory, dummy1.dat and dummy2.dat, that you can replace with empty files if you're ever running low on space in the ISO from replacing files with larger files. They're exactly what they sound like--dummy files, not used for anything, but huge for some reason, so you can free up some real space just by replacing them with a 0-byte file.

Another thing for Brawl--I'm assuming you know what .brstm is and how it works? If not, then you need to because it's the audio format Brawl uses.

...how did you come to the conclusion that dragging and dropping music into a game would make the game have that music? Is this something you do normally? Do you just drag mp3 files onto game executables to mod them into the game? Do you put your favorite album into a game console after the game so it will play the music with the game? What kind of behaviour were you even expecting?

Well, while this might sound stupid, Dolphin's UX was probably a bit confusing since it made it seem like it was possible to drag and drop things into the game.
