Doubled y-axis camera controls

Having a problem with xenoblades camera controls with my xbox controller set to the classic controller buttons.

It appear to be working correctly in the controller setup, but in game the y axis will only go in one direction. Its like the + and - are only mapped to 1 set. If i push up or down on the stick the camera goes up and stays there. If i invert the ingame options for the yaxis they both make it go down

anyone seen anything like this before? It doesnt appear to be the controller, as its been working fine in other games... same with the controller config...
here's my controller config, if that helps any:

hmm... well im not sure why this fixed it, but it appears that removing all the keyboard wii-mote button assignments fixed this problem XD
