fyi: those psuedo bump mapping shaders aren't working correctly, unfortunately. It's only applying insane amounts of sharpening, without the corresponding vs. I have some ideas for some extra anti aliasing methods, for sprites/2d, and 3d, for the next update, when that is.
Small preview screenshot of next version updates, with some demo settings. For anyone interested. Hello Asmodean. About these bump mapping shaders, they don't work properly only in Dolphin or a same problem is also in the PS1 version? Is that 2D shader based on xBR ? Could you do something with those bump mapping shaders and I think a Storybook shaders would a nice addition to DolphinFX too. 02-26-2015, 02:58 AM

I saw the oil painting shaders too and was playing around with them. I had to sample to 3x offsets for it to look effective, which is indeed quite expensive. I like the bump filter, it adds shading and glow to give more depth to textures. Looks nice in some games. Could have much better though. @Ramoh, I think the storybook shader is a good standalone, as it doesn't combine well with most other shaders. 02-27-2015, 11:06 AM

Re: bump mapping - I only meant in Dolphin's case. No, the paint effect isn't based on xbr. As One More Try mentioned, I doubt the storybook shader would meld well with other effects, typically. Given the nature of it. I'm trying to keep it so effects work well together, and to maintain good synergy between them. (02-27-2015, 11:06 AM)castaway Wrote: Hi! You'll have to use a more recent version of Dolphin, to use these effects. Dolphin has updated its post-processing, since that release. I'd recommend getting the development builds here, and it'll work. 02-28-2015, 03:12 AM
