Noob here, so forgive me my ignorance.  I did do a search through the forums, and it didn't seem like anyone's encountered these issues.

I'm using the newest build of Dolphin (4.0-7050).  I've got a WII MotionPlus synced to a DolphinBar.  I've got "Real Wiimote" selected in my controller configuration, I've got it checked for continuous scanning, and the DolphinBar is set to Mode 4.  It seems for all the world like I've got everything set up correctly.

The Dolphin is telling me that a supported Bluetooth device could not be found.  Nonetheless, I started up the Rom for Resident Evil 4, and everything works great.  But when I tried Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2, the WII remote doesn't work.

Anyone have any troubleshooting tips I can try?  Thanks so much in advance!

Just to make it weirder... I get to the Super Mario Galaxy start screen, where it asks to hit A & B simultaneously. I do that, and it registers. But then there's no pointer on the screen. I'm really lost.

Bump? This is driving me crazy. I play RE4 with no problem whatsoever... then I put on Super Mario Galaxy, I get the message from Dolphin in the upper left corner that my Wii is recognized and connected, A and B work fine, but no cursor shows up. Actually, sometimes my cursor will flicker on once every second or so, so it's clearly registering something.

Oh, I think I know what the problem is, see if you can take a picture of the bar while it is on and see if you see any lights.

Okay... trying to attach two pictures. One is of me happily aiming my gun in Resident Evil 4. The other is of me unhappily not aiming at anything in Super Mario Galaxy.

In both pictures, you can see my DolphinBar at the bottom of my TV. And you can see that two blue lights are on - the one on the right shows I'm in Mode 4, and the one on the left shows that my WII is synched to the DolphinBar. Just, in one game, I get a pointer, and in the other, I don't.

I guess the broader question is this - has anyone ever had a situation where your Wiimote pointer was working fine with one game and barely registering with another? Maybe it's not unique to the DolphinBar? As I said, I get a message from the Dolphin software in both cases that the program recognizes my WiiMote. And maybe I should make that the subject of my thread? If I don't get any troubleshooting ideas, I'll try starting a new thread with that as my question.

I've also sent an email to the support people at DolphinBar, and I'll report anything they have to say. Thanks again.

I think there is suppose to be more than 2 lights, looks like some of them are burned out.

There should be two clusters of 5 IR LEDs in each side of the bar. They are infrared, so, you'll need to look through a camera to check. If they're not like this they probably burned and that's why the cursor doesn't work at all in Super Mario Galaxy (however I have no clue why it works in RE4)

Well, phuck a duck. You guys were dead on. I have a real WII, so I set up the sensor for that in front of my TV, put the DolphinBar on top of it, and turned on the WII. The pointer now works fine. So, yeah, it must've been the LED lights burnt out, even though I got the thing in February and have barely used it. That doesn't explain why RE 4 was working perfectly, but whatever.

I guess I'll have to decide whether I want to get a cheap sensor bar rather than having to turn on my WII just to use its sensor. I'm definitely not buying another DolphinBar - I guess all it did was give me a Bluetooth substitute and easy Wiimote Plus compatibility.

Thanks for your help, guys!
