DolphinBar or Bluetooth passthrough?

It's been a long time since I've used Dolphin. I've recently got back into it, and was wondering what is the best way to connect WiiMotes? For a while everyone just said to buy a Dolphinbar, but it looks like Bluetooth passthrough is better, but more difficult to setup.

Which is the recommended way, if there is one?

Thanks!

Wasn't sure I did the research correctly.

Do you have / is there a recommended Bluetooth dongle and sensor bar to use?

You can find a list of ones that have been tested here:

Do you have any recommendations for a sensor bar? Reviews on Amazon are very polarizing. There's a wired one mentioned in the recommend accessories guide, but apparently it only has three LED's instead of five. There's also the official wireless one, but that apparently chugs batteries.

Three good LEDs will beat five bad ones. The reason some bars use different numbers of LEDs (even the official ones - at first they were five/side and then they went to three/side) is not necessarily that some are being cheap and therefore bad, but also because different LEDs have different viewing angles and brightnesses. If the reviews for a bar don't say that the lack of extra LEDs makes the range crap, then you probably don't need to worry.
