Hello everyone, just created an account to ask this question.

I have found the culprit for crashing Dolphin every time I open it to be my Dolphinbar. It worked on an older version before I updated, but absentmindedly I updated without remembering the version I was on. I have been going back to older versions through the catalog of updates but they keep crashing so I have no idea what the problem could be. If I unplug the bar, start the program, then plug it back in it works. So.... yeah. That's cool.

It does NOT crash the latest stable version, but that doesn't do me any good considering it doesn't support the bar. I am also using the Mayflash 4-port Gamecube controller adapter as well alongside it.

How are you updating exactly? If you are updating and can't remember the version you were on, you likely did something bad, like copy pasting over the old build (please don't do that!).

I completely delete the un-rar files of the version I was on and just extract the new one.

Alright, let's do a little test...

Unplug the Dolphinbar, open dolphin and change any realwiimotes to emulated wiimotes, close dolphin, then plug the dolphinbar back in and run dolphin again. Let's try this and see what happens!

Thanks for the reply, but alas it did not work. I'm at a loss for what the problem could be. I uninstalled drivers and reinstalled them all and everything.

If you disabled all realwiimotes, the realwiimote system won't even be activated. There should be no way for the Dolphinbar to crash Dolphin! Hmm...

Thanks a lot for your help. The problem has been solved. I have two separate USB hubs for my computer with external power supplies, one being a 10 port and the other a 7. The 10 port was the one I have the Dolphinbar plugged into to. I just recently moved my set-up into another room before this happened (The cables to the hubs don't quite reach to where my tower is positioned now), and apparently the USB ports on the side of my monitor just don't cut it for USB hubs (which I was using because of the aforementioned length of the cables), whether it be the extra power consumption or what. I found this out by trying to transfer something to an SD card tonight and an error message stating "not enough usb controller resources". It was not stating this when I would plug the bar into it, or anything else for that matter, to the hub. So, just by chance I was able to uncover the error without even trying.

TLDY: If anyone is reading this, and your Dolphinbar is crashing your Dolphin Emulator at start-up for no apparent reason, it is more than likely not getting enough power from your USB port. If you have USB hubs be sure to connect them directly to your board and not monitors, etc.
