When I found this emulator and started messing with it, I got a DolphinBar.
Then I found about the advantages of passthough, but the DolphinBar wasn't compatible due to the detail that it required a controller to be connected for the LEDs to turn on.
I contacted Mayflash, and after a few suggestion exchanges, they sent me a new firmware version (on August 29th). I thought that they were gonna update their firmware download page with the new version, but they didn't yet, so I thought about sharing it here.
With this version, you can turn on the LEDs even if no remote is connected to the DolphinBar (keep using this bar for IR if you decide to get another bluetooth module for passthrough).

(it's been several years since I last used a forum, I don't know if the format codes still work like they used to, and it seems that I won't be able to edit this post, so I'm sorry if the formatting doesn't look nice/clean)

Anyway, here's the e-mail that Mayflash sent me:
Code:
Hi Paulo,

We just released a new firmware for W010 to make the IR be lighting up for 4-hour by pressing and holding MODE button for 3-5secs if no controller connected .
To stop the IR LED lighting up by pressing and holding MODE button for 3-5secs at any moment.
To enter into next 4-hour lighting up by pressing and holding MODE button for 3-5secs .

Note :
1)This is not suitable for the old version Mayflash DolphinBar (Only having one switch on the old version DolphinBar)!
2)CANNOT be downgraded to old firmware version if you updated your DolphinBar to this new firmware version!!! Think carefully before update !!!

Please click the below link to download the firmware and run it on Windows system .
https://www.mayflash.com/upload/file/%28W010%29Update_HJM1800A_Mayflash_V0B_20220825.exe

How to update ?

Download the firmware from https://www.mayflash.com/Support and install it on your Windows system.

Double click on the firmware and leave the firmware window open on your screen.

Press and hold the SYNC button on the adapter.

Connect the adapter directly to a USB interface on your PC, still holding the SYNC button the entire time

As soon as the firmware window indicates under “Device” that the adapter has been recognized, you may release the SYNC button

   Select “Update”

Do not disconnect the device until you are informed that the updated was completed successfully.

Kindly feel free to let us know if any questions ,thanks .

Best Regards,
MAYFLASH SERVICE TEAM
www.mayflash.com

Mode 1 and 4 LEDs will light up simultaneouly while the extra mode (LEDs always on) is active.

WARNING:
For as long as Mayflash doesn't add it to their download page, treat it as a beta build.
Use it at your own risk if you really want to try it, and don't blame me or Mayflash if anything goes wrong.

I just found your post, and I have to ask how in the world did you get your dolphin bar into firmware update mode? I have tried everything they've said on their website and the few things from others I could google up. Nothing I do gets my bar into update mode so I can install the firmware update you graciously shared with everyone. Hopefully you see this and can help me out, thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, but I'm not that active on forums nowadays.

I started by having the same issue as you do. In fact, I never managed to get the dolphinbar into update mode on this computer. But since I have more computers laying around, I decided to try on another computer, and it worked on first attempt. And since it worked on another computer, I never bothered to understand why it doesn't work on this computer. But it's probably some software conflict. I would have to unninstall everything one by one to find the cause. So, never bothered.
My advice is obviously to try on another computer. Maybe that's a good excuse to get out and visit someone with a helpful computer Smile

Yup, this is 100% legit.

You can use the DolphinBar as an actual sensorbar. It's great for the people that already had one lying around and now want to use Bluetooth Passthrough.

Not so great for someone like me who just spent 50 CAD on a brand new DolphinBar only for the bluetooth connect feature to not even work with my third party wiimote Sad

Hopefully someone can archive this firmware download incase Mayflash's website goes down.

Since the mayflash-website is down, it would be nice, if someone could send me (a working link of) this special firmware. Thanks a lot!
