So I downloaded Dolphin so that I could play Mario Kart: Double Dash on my computer (my gamecube has been lost to who knows where) but as we all know there is no better controller for a Mario Kart game than a gamecube controller, when I heard that the gamecube adapter for Wii U is supposed to work I got super excited because I already had one, I plugged it in, downloaded the driver, used Zadig properly so that Dolphin would recognize it, aaaaaaand I am stuck because nowhere in the options menu can I find a way to switch it from Standard Controller to Wii U adapter. For some reason my version of dolphin has a different layout than anyone Else's I have seen, there is no "Controller options" menu but instead there is a separate menu for "GCPad" I figured that I just had a newer version and that it's nothing to worry about but even if I follow tutorials to the letter and do everything the exact same way they do It still does not show up in that list.
I am using the official Nintendo gamecube adapter for Wii U, and I just went and tested it 10 minutes ago to make sure that it does actually work in my Wii U, as does my gamecube controller.
I honestly have no clue what's wrong, I am using a windows 10 computer and dolphin version 4.2 (I even tried downloading versions 4.1, 4.0, and 3.5 and none of those worked) if that helps at all.
