Dolphin won't launch on Shield TV Pro 2019

According to this video Dolphin should work on the Shield TV Pro 2019, and he shows it working: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpOVxKtM-Nc

However, after the initial storage permission request, which I granted, it just keeps closing instantly. Can't even get it to display the UI.

Has anyone else got it working? What version did you use?
I tried with the latest from the download page (currently 5.0-11452), maybe there is some compatibility issue with more recent versions, as that video was from October.

According to a report we got on the issue tracker, running Dolphin on Android TV is currently broken on Android 10. Older versions of Dolphin don't work any better as far as I know (though I could be wrong). This should be fixable on Dolphin's side, but I don't know if we have any developers who can work on it right now... (Personally, I can do Android development, but I have neither Android TV nor Android 10.)

Just use an older version of Dolphin, it should work. I have the shield tv pro 2019 and a couple of versions dont work, you just got to keep slowly going down in versions until it works.
