Hi, I am on a 13" Macbook Pro, 2.26 Intel Dual-Core, 4GB RAM system, and I cannot get Dolphin to launch. When I try to open the application, it just shuts back down immediately. Can I get some help?

What Dolphin revision are you using? The newest official revisions from the website are known to crash on OS X, some compatibility issue between 10.6 and older versions of the OS. You can try some of Wintermute's Unofficial Dolphin builds, those should run fine.

Otherwise, stick to the official stable 3.0 release, unless 3.0 is the one crashing. Your profile says you use 3.0, but your problem fits the description for newer OS X builds.

Yes, I tried the more recent builds first, but they crashed, then I tried wintermutes, and they crashed, then I tried 3.0, and it crashed. I can't get any of them to work. Do I need to do something more than just open the disk image?

Hmm... That's weird. It doesn't sound like it's anything related to your disc image (the dumped game), since Dolphin crashes as soon as you launch it. Are there any error messages/logs that you can view? If not, running Dolphin from the command line should at least print something in your terminal.

The last resort would be to run Dolphin in another OS via BootCamp. Windows and Linux versions of Dolphin are running fine for me, but let's see if we can sort out your problem before going that far.

It worked when I ran dolphin in terminal via "open -a dolphin" if that helps anyone.

Thanks so much.
