I recently downloaded Dolphin 5.0 and tried connecting my wiimote with Dolphin. I'm using a USB bluetooth dongle and the latest version of Bluesoleil. The controller connects with Bluesoleil and the lights keep flashing. When I go to dolphin's settings for the controller, I choose real wiimote, and it won't detect it. My wiimote is not an official one but it has worked in previous dolphin versions along with the nunchuck. It would be preferable if I didn't have to buy an official wiimote but if anything else won't work then I guess I'll do it. But what else can I do except buying a new official wiimote?

Do you have a Wiimote with integrated Motion Plus? If you are on Windows 7, I think you need a DolphinBar to connect such Wiimotes.
Also, third-party Wiimotes are not guaranteed to work, especially on Windows. On Linux, a recent change should make most of them usable without any need for additional hardware. 07-07-2016, 09:00 PM

I don't have motion plus on my wiimote. What is a DolphinBar exactlyand what does it do? If I buy it will I be able to use my current wiimote or I'll have to get a new official one? |
