Hi guys,

I use Dolphin with XBMC as a Front-end (with the Rom collection browser add-on). My problem is that when I terminate a game the GUI windows don't close itself and so I can't go back automaticaly to XBMC. I know I can close the window with a keyboard or a mouse but my goal with XBMC is to use only a MCE remote + Joypad + Wiimote.

Is there a solution to this problem?

Thank you.

I would imagine you would have to use Xpadder the only problem I can imagine is the controller still providing input as keystrokes while simultaneously providing input for Dolphin. I would contact Xpadder they have a free version, but the paid is prefered plus if you grease the wheels you might be able to request a feature.

I would have a 2nd controller for dolphin and one for the htpc see if it works. then upgrade to the pay and put in a feature request like sleep specific command. press the select button or whatnot.

I have been having issues porting Dolphin to Media Browser. What plugins if any have you tried? where did you get the one you are using now? and were there any steps particularly difficult to configure?

I have xbmc plugin for media browser but never use it. and have tried a few others but nothing within xbmc I would be willing to switch surely.

If I understand you correctly, you can run Dolphin in batch mode (passing the command line argument /b on windows, -b on linux, no idea on osx). That will make the main window close once emulation is stopped.

How would one implement running Dolphin in batch mode. Would I write a batch file directing my plugin to it and having the batch file facilitate the opening and closing of Dolphin? Or am I over complicating/ not getting this?

well.. and apart from that I have no idea about what you want to do in detail, so you'll have to put two and two together by yourself.. Tongue

Thanks a lot Neobrain,

My Launcher.bat is now like this and it's perfect:

@echo off

cd /d %~dp0
dolphin.exe /e %1 /b
