I just compiled Dolphin using the instructions here: https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin

However, anytime I try "dolphin" in the terminal (from any directory) I get "dolphin: command not found" [similarly with "dolphin-emu"].

I'm not sure what's wrong with the way I compiled Dolphin, since the installation went smoothly, and when I'm in the Binaries directory, "open dolphin.app" opens Dolphin normally.

I should also say I had this same problem when I downloaded Dolphin from the website.

Any idea what's going wrong here?

Assuming you're running Ubuntu. Why not just use the repo so that you get updates as soon as they are released, that way you don't have to compile it every time a new version comes out.

It's macOS.

If that's the case then isn't there a .App install file on the downloads page? Just install it and run it from the apps folder.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, but when I downloaded it from the website, Dolphin opened with full functionality when I double-clicked it from the Apps folder or did "open dolphin.app" from Terminal, but not when I did "dolphin" or "dolphin-emu" from Terminal, which is supposed to work according to the instructions I used and linked to.

So, I deleted dolphin and compiled it from source, and I still have the exact same situation (except dolphin.app is now in /Applications/dolphin/build/Binaries).

The reason I ask is, I'm trying to run a program on top of Dolphin, which opens it with "dolphin" instead of "open dolphin.app", so I need to clear this up (yeah, I know, I could theoretically modify that program, but that's above my know-how and seems like a more brittle way of fixing this).
