I think having some appropriate tools would help a lot in managing that though. Being able to easily see if people reviewed a translation, if a translation needs some work (like the current Dolphin german translation... did not expect it to be that bad), and also send notifications to translators instead of assuming they all read this thread regularly, that kind of stuff should help getting the translations maintained.

I agree. There would be one maintainer per language? Ill try it next week, when I get t my hometown, cause Im on vacation and internet here sucks.
Still, I think that`s a nice idea, if it works out nice we should think about using it for the guy translations.

Puniasterus, Petiso Carambanal already submitted a translation for this version, have you been talking to him? You guys are both active Spanish translators, you guys should talk and if possible work together so we can safely accept files from both of you. I just want to know that the translation you're working on is the same, you guys can divide work however you like, but we can't have multiple individual versions of the same language.

Sure, it was only a fix based on the attachment 8715 from Petiso (just trying to get a clean translation before it goes to master, no multiple individual versions xD and we actually agreed that minor revisions are ok to go directly at the post; but you say nothing about the revamp of the catalan transation D: ).

Hi guys ! I'm new here, though I've been playing on Dolphin for almost 2 years now ! I've thought it was about time I took part in this project. I don't have any programming skills, so I'll go with what i'm good at : languages. The problem is, I don't know what to do and with whom I should speak (my native language is french and i can see there are already people working on this) so I wanted to ask how I can help !

There is already a French translator for Dolphin, and as he got here first, he has priority. You should talk to FRtranslator (send him a PM) to see if you can collaborate in any way Smile
