Resident evil umbrella chronicles is having the gamestopping bugs mentioned in this page , we just cant proceed further in the games

I can still fire,change my viewpoint,throw a grenade,etc.
But it just stops there
Plz teach me how or what to do!. The console is not reported does not report any errors
