So I'd downloaded Dolphin recently to complete my endeavor that is to complete every metroid game chronologically, as well as pick up and play some more nostalgic titles such as Smash Bros and Wind Waker. I'd played every game I'd downloaded at 60FPS after setting the internal resolution to 1080p and tweaking my settings until they're exactly how I'd like them (it's what I like about being a PC gamer). The games ran beautifully and smoothly, with no frame drop whatsoever. Until I wake up one day and decide to play Prime 2. Suddenly, the games are taking random dips in fps, stuttering is happening, and the games just sorta slow down. I went through all my settings, though NOTHING changed, and turned everything down. Nothing. I rebooted my PC, deleted the shader cache, uninstall and reinstall, closed all CPU intensive programs, and none of these seem to bring back the beautiful way the games had run. I don't want to dumb all the settings down and play the game the way they want me to instead of the way I want to play it-- that would almost defeat the purpose (at least to me) of wanting to emulate these games. Can anybody give me some insight on what I might want to do?
