I have a xiaomi mi 8 lite, with a snapdragon 660 processor and 4 gb of ram. When I bought this phone I thought this would be more than enough to run GameCube and possibly Wii games at full speed. When I boot Kirby's air ride, it doesn't get above 70 percent speed. I am not at all experienced with dolphin and am wondering if someone could tell me if there is any settings I can tweak to make my games run faster.
Dolphin slow on a phone with all meeting requirements?

There's not really anything you can do since the hardware is too weak. You can try reducing the emulated clock speed to 50% or something but it won't really help since the problem is the hardware is too weak.
Keep in mind that Dolphin is a very demanding emulator and even current flagship devices with Snapdragon 855 (which is way more powerful than an Snapdragon 660) still have trouble running anything but lightweight games (Super Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, to name a few) at full speed. It's no surprise Dolphin is performing poorly on your Mi 8 Lite...

The SD 660 has a single core cpu performance of around 1600(Geekbench). To run gamecube games decently you'll want at least 2000 or better. That's devices with the SD 835, SD 730 or better. You'll be able to run some lightweight games(Soul Caliber 2) on your phone pretty well with a few tweaks, though. |
