Dolphin sees it, but the game wont

I just loaded up dolphin again to look for some settings regarding slot you were talking about, and i went into configure gamecube setting, and i saw that port 1 was on "standard controller", and port 2 was on "do nothing". So i switched port 2 to " standard controller" and it worked. I probably wouldnt have looked there if you didnt mention slot 1. Thx for you help buddy.
