Either TP doesn't use bi/trilinear filtering on most textures or it doesn't use mipmapping, or both. That is some pretty crazy texture aliasing caused by the texture resolutions being too high for the type of texture filtering being used.

The textures don't lack proper filtering the game does. Also the huge consumption of video ram is due to the high texture resolution, not the filtering. I expect that this is what you meant to say but the sentence that you wrote says otherwise.
