Dolphin savegames to Gamecube memory card

So I started playing Zelda TP on Dolphin and really enjoy the hell out of the game. Then I hit hyrule fields and my enjoyment kinda lessens when playing at 50% emulation speed and 10FPS. I know it probably gets worse for other people but the game is so beautiful and awesome that this performance hit may be a little bit too much for me.

So I may want to play this on my GC instead. I say may since I already played quite a few hours on Dolphin and don't really feel like playing through all the start again (at least not this year, I'm not the kind of guy who replays games).

I'd like to know if there is a way to get my savegame over to my GC memory card. I don't really have a lot of hope here since I would probably need some kind of hardware in order to get the data on the memory card. So I either need to connect the memory card to my PC or get the data from my PC to the gamecube and then to the memory card...

Do the dolphin save files even work on the actual Gamecube?
If so how would I go about this? I heard there's a device (sort of an adapter) that lets you put SD cards into your gamecube (SD Media something...)... would it be possible to use that to get the files onto the memory card?

I'd recommend throwing the file onto a homebrew-hacked Wii's SD card and putting it on the GC memory card via one of the numerous utilities they have for that. http://wiibrew.org/ will get you most of the info you need.

If you don't have a Wii, but you have an SD Gecko... I'm not sure what the hell you can do with that thing, but if you own one the probability's pretty high that you know how to use it. I think it'd be easier to go with the Wii method, though.

I don't have a Wii and I don't have an SD Gecko either. I just happened to stumble upon the thing I mentioned in my opening post because apparently it lets you put SD cards into a Gamecube and I thought that might enable me to transfer from the SD in memory slot A to memory card in memory slot B or simply use the device as a memory card..

That was entirely speculation tho.

Sadly I don't even know anyone who has got a Wii :/

The media launcher in your bottom link is for Wii, at least I couldn't find info of it supporting GameCube. Anyway the SDGecko is cheaper:

But will it work?
MCBackup works for creating backups from the memory card to the SD and restoring those.
But does it back them up in .gci files?

So my SD Media Launcher arrived today (basically a Gecko)

Put MCBackup on the SD-card, launched the GC with the included SD Medialauncher disc (which basically starts the Gamecube with the SD card, enabling me to start the MCBackup program) and launched MCBackup.

From there on it's pretty easy to manage your safefiles. Just put the .gci files that you can extract from your emulated memory card via dolphin in the mcbackup-folder on the SD card, start the program as described above and then click "restore backup" to get to a list of the save files on the SD-card. Select the one you want to restore and voila, that's it!
