Dolphin save state cannot write to GC memory card

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me with the following.

I was using r7574 with Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and used the real in-game save (which writes to memory card). For some reason, it corrupted my MemoryCardA.USA.raw file, turning it to 0 bytes. Now I'm without my real in-game save, but I do have a backup in the form of Dolphin save states.

The problem is I am unable to use the Dolphin save state to write to a new formatted memory card (attachment 1).

Is there any way to have the Dolphin save state correctly write to a newly formatted memory card? Does Dolphin save state require the exact same blocks of memory in the memory card to match, in order for it to correctly write to the memory card? I only had several things written to the memory card (attachment 2), so would I have to play around with the order in which the blocks are written (maybe Soul Calibur loaded first, then Mario, then Fire Emblem, etc)?

Thanks!

I don't think the save-state saves enough of the game information to allow you to write to a new memory card. I just tried this myself and it does not work.

I had this once with Harvest moon Magical Melody... Memcard A wasn't recognized after Load State... However, it worked just fine on the second memorycard (which had always been empty) for some reason, so I Saved there, then copied the Save back to my First with the Memcard Manager, and I was Saved! (Literally)

Dunno if this'll work for you too though...

Maybe totally unrelated, but I can't seem to swap Memcard A for Memcard B. It keeps wanting to format it...

I wish I could even try that, but one the failed write to memory card turned my .raw file to 0 bytes =(

In any case, I'll just chalk it up to learning from experience; I'm very thankful for all the hard work that the developers put into Dolphin that I could even run games on it. Now I know to periodically back up my memory card by just doing a simple copy file on Windows.
