I LOVED Star Wars: Rogue Squadron on the N64, and then 2 and 3 on the cube. In trying to play both of those again here on dolphin, I am running into all sorts of problems. I get a lot of opcode errors, or dolphin stops working and needs to close, or when it runs it just generally runs horribly. Changing backends and audio configuration has no effect. For giggles I ran GPUZ alongside Dolphin:

Can someone explain to me why my GPU is essentially idling while Dolphin is running? And then also why these 2 games have an incessant need to crash? Tongue

And until I can figure out why there is nowhere to create my sig in user cp....

Because the Star Wars games are among some of the hardest games to emulate on Dolphin, combine that with the fact that we force LLE audio on it as far as I know.

You may go check that your power profile in Windows is set to High Performance, then go set a program specific profile in nvidia control panel where you'll set vsync to "off" and power management to "prefer maximum performance"

I am aware that they are difficult to emulate. When I first started using dolphin they were unplayable Tongue I have been pouring over the game threads for both of these though and it seems like fixes were made and settings could be changed so that it runs pretty well. What isn't clear is which of those settings are now part of the game.ini and which ones I have to change manually. A lot of flip flopping and testing and branches/builds were used. Unlike some other emulators the wiki pages for dolphin do not show settings used, just hardware and build number.

There isn't any magical settings that are going to make those games run any better. Basically your computer will be powerful enough to run them decently or it won't. They can give you the basic suggestions about setting max performance, or lowring graphic options, but short of that, there really isn't any great advice people will give you that's going to improve the games' performance

Intel Core i7-10700
Nvidia Rtx 2060 6GB
