The title explains everything. Whatever game I throw at at 1.5x - 2x IR (i.e Mario Kart Wii/Double Dash, Mario Sunshine) tends to struggle trying to reach full speed and runs much slower than it usually ran before this update. Updating and rolling back GPU drivers didn't do much at all to improve performance. I don't think this issue has to do something with overheating, since idle temperatures are around 55C. Running Dolphin brought the temperatures up to a 70-95C range. Is there a possible fix for this, or am I stuck having to play at 1x IR forever?

thanks,

Did you update your GPU drivers as well?

Also, use latest dev build.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

This seems like a pretty cut and dry case of your GPU eating into your TDP. At 1x IR the Iris Pro can probably idle a bit, which gives the CPU more room to boost clocks. I doubt any of the recent dolphin updates did something to affect GPU perf on just your system (since a flood of users would come in if it was a general GPU vendor issue.). To be frank, unless you wanna void warranty and apply some better thermal paste and invest in a cooling pad, i’m honestly not surprised that performance is an issue.
