Dolphin running slow. My computer to blame?

What up everyone, I'm new so I'm sorry if I don't follow along quickly. Anyway I've been trying to run Madden 2003 on dolphin and it runs, but very slowly. Everytime it clears the "cache" it speeds up but its only for a couple seconds and it is slow again.

Computer stats:
Processor: AMD Phenom™ II X4 955 Processor 3.20GHz
ROM: 8.00 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
Windows 7 64 bit
Running Dolphin 3.0 x64

Anyway not really sure what to do, so I figured I'd ask if my computer wasn't fast enough to run it. Thought it was but I'm not an expert by any means.

1st - Overclock your CPU
