Hey ,

I'm trying to figure out why dolphin run so slow on my pc ( I get on galaxy only 9 fps !! )

I'm on linux and i'm using dolphin with wine ( because the linux release don't work on my pc ) ... , maybe i got this bad frame rate coz I'm using it on wine ?

I'll try to use the native linux release ...
on linux release every times I load an iso a warning message pop up :

" Error loading Plugins/libPlugin_VideoOGL.so: can't read info "

and I cant run the emu Sad

EDIT: this is a problem with the video plugin ... but why ? uhm ...

EDIT 2 : if I run the emu from a terminal it say :

DL: Error loading DLL Plugins/libPlugin_Wiimote.so: libwiiuse.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryDL: Error loading DLL Plugins/libPlugin_Wiimote-testing.so: libwiiuse.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryDL: Error loading DLL Plugins/libPlugin_VideoOGL.so: libCg.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Uhmmmmm

EDIT 3 : I fix the wiimote copying libwiiuse.so to /usr/lib/ ... Now , I must fix libCg.so !!!!!

EDIT 4 : I fix libcg problems , but now the emu crash when I select a game with :

Dolphin: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.
26:06:288 N[BOOT]: Saving Settings to ./User/Config/Dolphin.ini
Dolphin: Fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server :0.0.

What I shoul do ?
thanks

EDIT 5 : I got it to work , but linux release is faster but I'm able to boot only 1 game ... Windows version boot al of my games Sad
If I try to boot others games it crash Sad

If you are new on Dolphin, check the requeriments thread (general discussion). I have too much problems like you, but I got the Dolphin 3404 (through other link) and some problems disappear. I still running Brawl with 3FPS! Big Grin Ok, check the thread: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-4.html

Linux does not use DLL (got to fix that error message). For one thing, things running in Wine will be slow, so it is better to use the native version. You probably want to post your specs and OS config, so we know you are not trying to run this on some commador64 machine.
:: System Specs ::
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional x64
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5770
CPU: AMD Phenom I X4 9550
RAM: 6GB DDR2

lol, I don't know why people grab binaries of Linux releases...

also if you're using Linux you should be sure direct rendering is on in your OpenGL driver.

Code:
glxinfo | grep rendering

Hmm? If you're on Linux in the first place you should be competent enough to compile it from source, which is the superior choice. You can control what revision you want, when you want... and make modifications if you want... Tongue
