It says 8 because of (seriously, do I have to repeat this?) HyperThreading. Try disabling that and then run your games again.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

That is what I said earlier in one of my post (hyperthreading) ... but in regards with hyperthreading, on my laptop (4700mq on my sig), its working fine (hyperthreading enabled)... I can only speculate that it may be a bad config, or driver issue... stable releases like 4.0.2 should have minimal problems (it wouldn't be called stable if its problematic [Image: biggrin.gif])

Make sure you have latest drivers for your GPU. Not the very latest though since there´s a crashing issue with Dolphin when using the latest driver. (This is NVidia-specific).
