Dolphin quits on startup

Hey there!

I'm new to Dolphin, but I searched the forums thorougly and did not find any solution to my problem.

Whenever I start emulation a game in Dolphin, the software quits immediately. There is no error message, not even a Windows note about it, it just quits.

I tried emulating Harvest Moon - Magigal Melody (which should run perfectly according to the compatibility list) as well as some other games, but the effect has always been the same.

I tested Dolphin in various configurations, but nothing helped.

I'm running Win XP Sp3 (32bit) in Bootcamp mode on an Apple iMac.
My specs: CoreDuo 2.8 GHz (E8235)
ATI Radeon 2600 PRO w. 256mb (with newest ATI drivers)
2 GB RAM
...

Does Dolphin need a BIOS to work? (As the iMac only has an EFI)

I also tried building the Dolphin sources on OS X, but that one keeps on crashing...

Thanks in advance for any help! :-)

Tom

What revision are you using... DolphinIL was known to cause this issue a month or two ago for several weeks. Make sure you're using a newer build.

I tried it at first using 2745; later on, I also tried 2195 and now the newest 2962.

The problem appears with any of these versions, both with dolphin.exe and dolphinIl.exe .
At the latest try, Dolphin issued an error warning:

"Failed to grab 1 GB of contigous memory!"

The message says that antivirus software or bad graphics drivers could cause this...

I stopped my AV agent and tried again, but nothing changed... my graphics drivers are the most recent ATI drivers!
