Are you sure you're looking at their DVD speed, not CD speed? CDs spin slower at 1x, so you can get a higher multiplier before they disintegrate and fill your drive with high-speed sharp plastic shards.

there probably isnt a progress report bc no major changes have been issued since the last one, so there just isnt much to talk about.

There are always changes interesting enough to make an interesting progress report if they were written up, but the team working on the progress reports are volunteers with limited time, so can't write about everything.
