Can you show a screenshot of the mod on and off? Sorry for the late reply! It was on Bianco Hills and it looks the same with or without the mod. Although it seems to be blocky even at native res now that I tested. ![]() 07-14-2022, 09:46 AM

But I guess the mod doesn't work on shine 5, since I can't get it to work either. The goop in shine 1 works for me, though. Shine 5 images: Shine 1 images: 07-18-2022, 10:42 PM

Are there any other games that use bloom that haven't been looked into yet? I heard Prime's bloom is fucky.

Prime 3, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword are the worst offenders off the top of my head. The earlier GC games mostly don't have an issue with this. But the Wii is rampant with games that use this same crappy bloom shader that nintendo came up with.

Sonic Colours is another big one.
Quote: But the Wii is rampant with games that use this same crappy bloom shader that nintendo came up with. It's because HDRI was finally possible and growing in use during the early to mid 2000s, but the GameCube (and thus Wii) doesn't support an HDR pipeline. So Nintendo faked the look of HDRI by using multiple blurred layers with blend modes that gives the impression of overexposure. The effect looks good at intended resolutions (certainly better than the many terrible HDRI implementations in that period), but the technique's defining limitation is that it can only upscale or downscale within a certain range without falling apart. It was not a new technique and Nintendo didn't even come up with it - you'll find it in many titles, even on PC, in the early to mid 2000s. Prince of Persia Sands of Time on PC, for example, uses the same technique and reveals the same weirdness at high resolutions. ![]() AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX PBO+200 | Asrock WRX80 Creator | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 64GB DDR4-3600 Octo-Channel | Windows 11 23H1 | (details)

I've also tried every setting I could think of to try to get it to work again, but nothing's working. Could someone help me figure out how to get rotation to work again? I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any ideas, including the developers. ![]() Thanks guys! ![]() https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2022/09/13/...gust-2022/ The July and August 2022 Dolphin Progress Report is live!
