So yeah, there is a Shield TV (Pro) refresh with the new X1+ processor that supposedly is up to 25% faster than the regular X1. I’m curious how Dolphin performs on it in comparison to how it performs on the regular X1 Shield TV. Anybody bought the new Shield TV Pro and can provide some test results?

ETA Prime(youtube channel) reviewed it(did some emulation tests with dolphin and a few others) and it's just a marginal improvement over the 2017 model. It's performance with emulation is about the same. The main improvement is it can output 4K natively.

At this point any Snapdragon 855 device outperforms the tegra x1 chipset.
Long time Mobile Emulator freak. Used to be very active on pspupdates...Good old times.
Yet the gap in performance between the Tegra X1(+) and Snapdragon 855 devices when running Dolphin is way smaller than what the actual SoC specifications might suggest, mostly because mobile GPU drivers still sucks. They suck way less nowadays than when our Android port was first released, but they're still bad. Tegra X1 avoids that completely by exposing the same feature set of a desktop Maxwell-based NVIDIA GPU, including their more mature GPU drivers, and as result Dolphin performs better on it...
