Dolphin PC buying guide

You will see that q9450 (same clock) is most times not more then 10% slower per clock.

That means a C2Q with ~10% more clock is about the same speed as i7 if you take out SSE5 and maybe those applications that depend heavily on memory.

So you need to reach nearly the same clocks with i7 as you would with c2q (duo for dolphin) for same speed.

I did... it looked good the memory interface is 256 bit while its 448 bit on the 260 which is about the same price new

yeah, every big advantage of i7 is useless for dolphin, what remains is a slight increase in per clock performance.

Is it? For the sake of general PC use (PC Gaming, Encoding and the such) a Phenom II 940 is better than an E8400. Yet when it comes to Dolphin, it sure as hell isn't and your ignorant remark shows how anyone could make that mistake.

THELUKESTIR , 448 bits with gddr3 gives aproximately the same bandwith than 256 bits with ddr5 , but the 4890 has 1ghz core clock , so even if the price is the same ,wether you like to buy expensive stuff for the same result or worse , or maybe you just love crap that they sell you at an high price !

Oh and I dont care to get banned Daco or nosound ,(cauz Im really with his mom) cauz the forum has just became a junkhole with people with an enormous Ego and nothing to share but the amount of money they spend and split at your faces.

WHAT?!?! i totaly didnt understand ANY of that rant... and why am i rene's parrot? Why must we get offensive on a thread about building computers??!?! i never said go out and buy the 260 over the 4890 i was simply pointing that out... and a i7 975 and a 295gtx are extremely expensive and not worth it at the moment. the enthusiast build was meant to be buying the biggest baddest thing you can without wasting money (at least the way i interpreted it) I dont see anyone in here shoving all the things they bought in your face.. rene was simply showing what he thought was good builds... you dont have to build em.. and why would you get banned???
