hey setya5785,
just out of curiousity, I noticed that your rig is listed at having 2 Caviar Blue drives in RAID. What made you decide on Blue vs Black? and I also remember you recommending the Sapphire GPU a while back. What do you think of the HD 5770/6700 or say the gts450? Would it be wise to opt for something better?
the main difference between caviar black and blue is access time. overall read and write speed are about the same.
i choose 2x500GB blue in raid0 because it's cheaper (around $10 less) than 1TB caviar black and ways faster ( almost 2x as fast in raid0) i want to get 2x500GB black at first, but afrined of mine working at wdc said that model (sata 3 500GB) already discontinued or atleast wdc distributor in my area stop importing that model. so i choose 2x caviar blue raid0 for my OS, apps and games ![]() as for saphire GPU, i did recommend those, especially 5830 extreme and 5850 extreme. saphire release those 2 card as limited release. 5850 extreme can compete against standar GTX 460 and GTX 560 (and reference GTX560ti in some case), and saphire 5830 extreme only slightly slower than radeon 6850 (even faster when OC'ed) this is from card that cost less than GT 550 and amd 6790 so if you can find those card, get 'em (if you're planning to getting amd card) at first i also want to get 5850 extreme, but i deal with 3D authoring most of the time, so nvidia CUDA sure help that's why i choose msi GTX560 Ti hawk, factory OC'ed by MSI, almost as fast as reference GTX570 ^_^

Hey guys, the G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) is going for $60 right now on new egg. $10 dollars less than the G.SKILL Ripjaws X. Should I take advantage or should I just for the the Ripjaw X? Reviews say it is pretty good except for limited over clocking, which I dont think I would be overclocking my RAM.
