Latest build works for me without problems (5758M), but, how should i know im using ocl. On gpucaps says its enabled and available. sry for being noob about this ocl stuff...
Dolphin OpenCL build[Updated r5790]

There is a way to confirm it. You can go into User/Logs/ and open dolphin.log by any text editor.
And you should find that there are something like this: 42:45:396 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:112 N[COMMON]: Initialized OpenCL! 42:46:328 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:153 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileProgram took 0.898 seconds 42:46:551 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.222 seconds 42:46:777 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.226 seconds 42:47:000 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.222 seconds 42:47:224 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.224 seconds 42:47:447 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.223 seconds 42:47:670 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.223 seconds 42:47:892 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.222 seconds 42:48:115 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.223 seconds Which mean your game are running with OpenCL. Also, you should get speed up if OpenCL support. Also, I heard some game still have some minor problems with OpenCL. You can compare the difference with a plain build. 06-22-2010, 05:41 AM
22:34:550 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:112 N[COMMON]: Initialized OpenCL!
22:36:097 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:153 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileProgram took 1.538 seconds 22:36:394 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.301 seconds 22:36:691 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.300 seconds 22:37:003 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.301 seconds 22:37:300 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.301 seconds 22:37:597 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.300 seconds 22:37:894 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.301 seconds 22:38:207 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.303 seconds 22:38:503 .\Src\OpenCL.cpp:169 N[COMMON]: OpenCL CompileKernel took 0.302 seconds 22:38:503 .\Src\PowerPC\Interpreter\Interpreter_SystemRegisters.cpp:344 N[PowerPC]: Flush Instruction Cache! ICE=0 22:38:503 .\Src\PowerPC\Interpreter\Interpreter_SystemRegisters.cpp:335 N[PowerPC]: Instruction Cache Enable (HID0.ICE) = 1 22:38:597 .\Src\MsgHandler.cpp:53 E[*]: Warning: GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0x4d). This means one of the following: * The emulated GPU got desynced, disabling dual core can help * Command stream corrupted by some spurious memory bug * This really is an unknown opcode (unlikely) * Some other sort of bug So, this is ok?
OpenCL is still not stable, for now it just for test. And if you want speed up you can use it.
But some game are still have problems, what game are you testing with? opcode I think is not the OpenCL problem? Try running the game with the plain build and see if you have the same warning or not. If you don't have an graphic problems than it is fine. Others thing just wait dev fix it....
Im testing RE remake and RE zero. With this latest build i have some speedup, but its nothing significant (1-2fps).
About this errors, i dunno, everything seems fine and stable. Urs is much faster than mine (by log). Specs?
The speed is related to your display card GPU...
My Spec: AMD X4 620 oc 3.25ghz DDR3 1333 2GB RAM NVIDIA 8800GT 512MB 1.5TB hard disk Windows 7 64bit 06-22-2010, 09:17 PM
1. you can see that you use openCL because (at least for ati) there are 2 console windows being shown shortly before the game starts.
2. 8800GT=9800GT ! -IT IS THE SAME CARD! 3. now my compiler is working ... after some reading ^^ Dolphin r5767 x64 OpenCL (maybe ati only... don't know ^^ don't own an nvidia card...) 06-22-2010, 09:45 PM
FloW3184 build work on NVIDIA display card.
And I already quote it on the top post. May be you need GPU Caps Viewr to see your Display card support OpenCL or not. I think NVIDIA card need at least 8 series or newer. |
