I recently got dolphin to play super smash bros. melee on a ladder site. When i first got it, it worked flawlessly. Constant 60 fps, no graphical issues, nothing. Recently it has started running at only 30 fps despite the framelimit being on auto. Is this a common issue? If so, is there a fix? (I'm sorry if I'm doing something wrong, this is my first time on this forum)

Do you have vsync on? Turn that off.

Sanity check: Is the Framelimit in the Graphics options set to anything other than Auto?

Just to clarify, when you say it's running at 30FPS, Dolphin reports the emulated game speed as 50% correct? It's not like when it's running 100% but only outputting 30FPS (typical of some VSync issues that helios mentioned) is it? So everything in fact runs in slow-mo rather than just looking like it has choppy animation?

Yes, dolphin is running at 50% and thus running a 60 fps game at 30 fps. Here is a screenshot of the top of the window https://gyazo.com/d3b005366a9f0c93b0ff6c153006ffef

What happens if you disable the framelimiter?
