Question
As my last thread got deleted. (Thanks a lot)

I will be a bit more clear.

Dolphin will not launch or even do anything, I click on it and nothing happens.

I used to get a message with an error. (I forgot what it said)

I've tried building it and using the PPA.

And still nothing.

My specs are on my profile.

Seriously? You barely waited 4 hours. This isn't an instant chat room. Not everyone here is familiar with Linux or Ubuntu specifically. You will not always get a reply immediately, and in fact you shouldn't expect one immediately realistically (true of many forums on the internet forums).

Your last thread was closed (not deleted) because you made no attempt to provide any info about what the problem was. How do you expect people to help you long-distance, with no physical access to your setup too, if all you say is "It doesn't work"? Be reasonable here.

Please provide that error message in detail. It's probably critical to solving your issue. What's more, what revision are you using? If Dolphin won't launch, the PPA should at least tell you what version the package is. If you tried compiling it from git open a terminal in the folder git made for Dolphin and run:

Code:
git log

You should see a string at the very top composed of letters and numbers (like 0a5bd83af2917534501537c36d7ed25cd1cef31c). What is this hash exactly?

It's called SUPPORT.

I would've expected a pretty quick reply.

I'm just gonna wait until you guys get your shit together, and make a version compatible with 14.04.

You know that this is an OSS project right? The community provides the support, as in volunteers with the time and expertise. If you think your question is always gong to be answered right away, then I would say you're largely mistaken about how most internet forums work. You have refused (twice) to provide information necessary to help you. Others have Dolphin running on Ubuntu 14.04 just fine, so obviously there is a way to help you, but you're not letting us. Take a break from the forums and ask again (properly) in a week.

Closed.
