Hi guys, I'm searching a tablet for play Dolphin on it and today I have seen the new Mi Pad 2 from Xiaomi, it have 2Gb of RAM and an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 accompanied with an Intel HD Graphics GPU.
So here is muy question
Should Dolphin work properly in this tablet or I must wait for Shield Tablet X1? (Or if there is another tablet to play Dolphin please tell me)
Thank You!

PD: Sorry if i have mistakes I'm from Spain and english is not my first language  Tongue

The shield tablet X1 will be faster either way,  no competition.  Even if dolphin on android added x86 support it's simply not going to be as fast.  Wait for the X1

Supposedly a variant of it runs Windows 10, so if it is the 64bit version then it'll be able to run Dolphin.
Even if the Android version runs a 64bit userspace, there is still work to be done before Dolphin will be able to run on it (The x86_64 recompiler needs to support PIE).

The two variants are 64-bits based, but, I'm not sure if the emulator will run properly because othe graphic performance, that I don't know that it's sufficient
Are you sure that Dolphin should work in the Mi Pad 2 with good framerate and no lag?
I need to be 100% sure that it will run good to buy it, or if it wouldn't work, to wait for the X1 Tablet Smile

I just checked the Mi Pad 2's Android firmware dump and it is indeed running an x86_64 userspace.
So theoretically in the future it should be able to run Dolphin.
For now it can not since our x86_64 recompiler doesn't support PIE, which is required for Android 5.0 and higher.

I guess we can assume at this point the Atom x5/x7 are 64bit only user space devices.  Makes you wonder why the previous generation was 32bit user space only.
