I know dolphin isn't on iOS but I made this thread to see how you guys think the iPad air 2 will compare to nvidia tegra k1 denver in terms of dolphin. The iPad Air 2 has 2gb of ram and a new and powerful graphics processor and a very powerful A8X cpu so let me know how you guys think it would run dolphin if it were on it. I read somewhere that it has around the same if not better performance than the tegra k1 denver so let me know what you think.
Dolphin on iPad Air 2

You aren't going to get a meaningful answer to this since as you said Dolphin isn't on iOS. I think your best bet would be to wait for the iPad Air 2 and Nexus 9/Nvidia Shield Tablet benchmarks to come out and then compare the relative performance in important to emulation categories.

That is true, however single threaded performance has been leaked, and its about 15% higher than the A8, which means its possible the A8X could match it. The only thing is these benchmarks aren't final so it could improve. Also these benchmarks don't necessarily factor In-order execution, which the denver cores use but A8 doesn't It's very possible the results could vary, but honestly it's not looking like denver is the massive leap we were expecting.
I already stated that somewhere else: find someone interested in porting Dolphin to iOS first, otherwise you'll never know if Dolphin will perform well in <insert Apple device here>. Also, comparing raw numbers (number of cores, CPU/GPU frequencies, etc) and benchmarks won't magically make an iOS port appear...
