Hi all, long time reader of the forums, but this is my first time posting as i've seem to run into an issue.

I have installed Dolphin on several PC's, but this is the first one i've run into issues on. I got a great deal on this laptop (arguably ASUS's best gaming series laptop), so i decided to sell my old one and pick this one up.

The problem is in D3D mode, i get 3-5 FPS on everything. I've tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of my vid driver, along with updating direct x and still no luck. I know all about the correct settings for dolphin, and have re-read several of the guides here just to make sure there wasn't anything i was missing.

Laptop specs are as follows

i7 2.3ghz (hyperthreaded 8 cores)
8 GB 1333 Ram
Geforce 460m 1.5GB graphics card

My old asus 51VT only had 4 GB of ram, dual core cpu, and a geforce 260m...and i could get anywhere from 30-50 fps depending on the game. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!!

Power settings of laptop? Card overheating? I don't know I'm kinda stabbing in the dark here... the problem you have does sound quite weird. Maybe it's a particular revision that's causing the problem. Download something like GPU-Z or MSI Afterburner to check your GPU usage when you're playing, maybe it's downclocking when it's not supposed to or you're getting low usage.
