This thread is for those who are having problems with Dolphin,
and use intel gm processor. the games are playable, albeit a bit slow
(i get from 12 fps to up to around 30 fps).
edit: i now get from 18 fps up to around 40 fps with build svn 2196
(frame rate may vary between games)
computer spec:
windows vista 32 bits sp2
Intel Centrino Duo T2250 @ 1.73 Ghz, dual core.
Graphics Card: Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family
This specification seem a bit lacking, and theoretically yes.
However, even this computer i have can play game cube games,
at decent speed, and, hopefully, yours can, too!
Disclaimer: i do not support any illegal or wrongful use of Dolphin.
do not ask me on where to find the games.
such questions will be ignored.
First:
donwload the game cube emulator at
http://www.dolphin-emu.com/downloads.php
The actual download link may change over time,
so look for "dolphin emulator download" or similar on google.
I use the SVN 1546. it's an older version of Dolphin, but it performs
better than the newer ones.
Next,
download direct x 9.0c from microsoft:
direct x 9.0c
after that, download the update at
update to your direct x
If the link breaks, search for "direct x 9.0c", and "direct x end user runtime".
You NEED these in order to use the plugins. Dolphin uses direct x 9 to play.
Even if you have a newer version (direct x 10), you will have to install dx 9,
or the game will not load at all. You must have a genuine os in order to download from Microsoft.
You may also want to update your driver, but this is not required
if you have a custom build for your driver (such as mine). You can update your driver here:
intel driver update
At this point, you should be able to configure your settings.
Don't try to load Dolphin without first downloading and updating your direct x 9.
If you do, Dolphin will not be able to load the plugins (because it needs dx9)
Open Dolphin
Click on Config
on the core tab, check both enable dual core, and enable idle skipping.
check all the options for the advanced settings, below.
on the plugins, make sure you choose "Dolphin Direct 3d 9" plugin
for your graphics. Intel does not fully support ogl, so we have to use this instead,
even though it's slower. Go ahead and configure your controller to your heart's content.
Finally, boot your game, and you're done!
I get from 12 to up to 30 fps. It varies greatly, and the characters move
in slow motion, but it's still playable!

edit: just tested with svn 2196 and got from around 18 fps to around 40fps (the game runs at an average of around 24 fps)
edit2: updated pics.
