Hi All,

I recently upgraded my SSD and copied everything from my old SSD to the new one. I now can't play gamecube games with my old saves. It's asking to format my "memory card A" slot. Eternal Darkness flashes a warning that the memory card is formatted for another region. I formatted "memory card b" and I noticed its been formatted for the euro region (even though this is a USA region game and the same game I've been using all along). I can't even transfer the games from my Memory Card A (USA) to my Memory Card B (EUR) because eternal darkness still doesn't see that game. Should I recopy all the saves from the old SSD again to see if they were corrupted? FYI I'm using the latest development build on Windows 10.

This is fixed now. SO STUPID but IMHO it's an easy mistake. I upgraded my computer with a new SSD drive and transferred all the folders from old SSD to new using the quicklinks (favorites). Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, has replaced the documents quicklink with a link to onedrive documents. So all my folders were now in onedrive and dolphin was reading documents folder on the actual PC (where there were no folders).

I transferred everything from onedrive documents to documents on my pc and it all worked. DUH!

I like to throw a "portable.txt" file in the folder that contains dolphin.exe, this switches Dolphin to create a self-contained user folder that stays in the dolphin.exe folder.

I like to use the latest developer dolphin builds so wouldn't that require a lot of transferring? I do plan on downloading the 5.0 version though and sticking to it for a while, I may try it then.
Thanks for the tip!

Just grab the User file and portable.txt and transfer them over.

Don't use the builds labelled as 5.0. They were part of an attempt to get 5.0 up and running without a feature freeze, and was working on a forked version of like 4.0-65XX. We scrapped that idea because it was hard to maintain. So now the feature freeze is in effect and only bug fixes are being merged. So use the latest 4.0 dev build, as that is what is being built up to the official 5.0 release.
