Right, So I've been running 3.0 for the longest and decided to go ahead and update last night and for one reason or another the drop down list of available controller options only lists my keyboard.

I switch back over to 3.0 and it's in there with no issues and I can configure it however I want.

I've been googling around for a fix for something to really no avail, so here's my first post.
Anything guys?

It's a wired Xbox 360 controller. I just noticed that there's a whole new folder for it's settings in My Documents so I'm copying over the old Config profile I used before and see if this just works. Still, is weird it doesn't recognize normally. It works for anything else.

Yep, Despite getting the Configurations set up through an alternate method, it doesn't help the overall issue that the Emulator simply isn't recognizing the presence of the controller at all.

If an Xbox 360 Controller then select 'XInput/0/Gamepad'

Right. I've installed the neccesary drivers for the controller in the past and as my first line of action to solve this issue I went to microsoft and was sure to reinstall them and ensure they were updated. Although, when I try to run the "Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories Status" program that comes along with them I DO get this error.

I just don't understand why one version of the emulator it works for but does not on another.

Press Start, select Run and type joy.cpl and post image of the Game Controllers

This may be an Xinput issue, try updating your DirectX

I appreciate you being so thorough, but upon trying to install that update it said that a greater or equivalent version was detected and stopped.

Sidenote: I was even able to calibrate the Controller in joy.cpl from before.

Perhaps I should just start over with 4.0, Delete and redownload?

Try unzipping this xinput1_3.dll in the Dolphin folder.
