Dolphin NetPlay Problem

When I attempt to connect on Dolphin either using an IP or a Code, my dolphin is unresponsive.
I don't get an error message.
I don't get a "Windows is not responding"
I don't get any indication of the reasoning for being unable to connect. Infact, it seems as though the application ignores my process and doesn't register what I am doing. I've tried using many different builds of dolphin including, Dolphin 4.0-648, Dolphin 4.0-652, Dolphin 4.0-5743, and the latest Dolphin version. I've attempted to fix this problem by tweaking settings, changing firewall settings, and some standard things like restarting my computer. On Dolphin 4.0-5743, when I attempt to host I get an error message saying
"Failed to listen. Is another instance of NetPlay server running?" and when I attempt to host on Dolphin 4.0-648 I get the error message "Failed to init traversal Client. This shouldn't happen..."

I am stumped and have no clue what the problem is, I've tried to google for fixes but have come up short, any help, and I mean ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It's a router issue. I had the same type of issue, upgraded my modem, and it disappeared. Do you happen to have an arris router/modem combo? If you don't, please let me know what you do have.

I am a pleb when it comes to router and modem but let me check.

I have a Bell Modem and a Cisco Router.

Do you know the specific problem with the router? What do I have to do to fix it?

I couldn't fix my router; I had to outright replace it. Being behind two routers is also a problem. Do you have a router then connected to a modem/router combo? Or is the modem fairly plain?

The modem is fairly plain, and if you didn't mind, could we communicate somewhere that we could respond quicker? Responding on these fourms is a bit tedious.

Could you specify what you mean by a modem/router combo?

Angry Hi there. I've been having the exact same issue as you, I as well haven't been able to fix it. It's really bugging me because if the only way out of this mess is to buy a new router then I call it poor design on Dolphin's part. If you can respond ASAP I'm very eager to know whether there is a fix and what that fix is.

Thanks.
